STATE BILL’S LIST of doomed bills here.

SUBSCRIBERS: Go here to get a fix on all outstanding Colorado legislation.

THE DEMOCRATIC-SPONSORED CIVIL UNIONS BILL WAS KILLED along with 30 other bills in a late-night game of political chicken.

VIDEO: Frank McNulty’s press conference on the floor.

VIDEO: Dueling press conferences by Ferrandino, Waller.

VIDEO: One Colorado’s Jace Woodrum.

VIDEO: Fun and games in the Senate.

AUDIO: Heated exchange between McNulty and Ferrandino, recorded after reporters invoked Sunshine Act.

HE SAID IT: “Unfortunately, we just didn’t have that Hickenlooper magic at the end.” — Mark Ferrandino.

HE SAID IT: “Have never seen anything quite like this at the end of a legislative session. No words to completely describe this.” — Terrance Carroll.

HE SAID IT: “I wonder if McNulty realizes this will be his legacy, the 1 thing speakership will be remembered for. History deserves better.” — Mike Littwin.

SHE SAID IT: “Woo, #coleg is trending Denver. It’s like we’re cool for a second…” Colorado Public Radio reporter Megan Verlee.

SHE SAID IT: “When Dems were in charge of House, Rep. Bob Gardner, R-Col. Springs, was the designated filibuster guy, known as doing “a Bob.” — Lynn Bartels.

HE SAID IT: “Not a one of you has the courage to vote against chocolate!” — David Balmer, during filibuster.

HE SAID IT: “Hear there’s talk of Hick calling a special session for a bill that didn’t make it. What hypocritical grandstanding. He mentioned it in the State of the State, but nada since. It languished in the senate for months, then suddenly passed to the house like a hot potato in the session’s closing days–not to mention the years the Ds controlled both chambers and didn’t move the bill. Special session? Where’s the sudden fire, Gov? Or are you just a press diva?” — Shawn Mitchell, via Facebook.

WIKIPEDIA VANDALIZED to include this line in McNulty’s biography: “2012 legislative session: In 2012, Frank McNulty refused to let a Civil Union bill come to a vote because he knew it would pass. Because of his homophobia, his delay tactics on the Civil Union legislation caused 30 other unrelated bills to fail.”

FINALLY, AN EXPLANATION FOR THE DELAY: Sen. Pat Steadman, D-Denver, said the civil unions bill was heard late because the speaker pro tem, Rep. Kevin Priola, R-Henderson, was considering sponsoring the bill and asked him to wait until after the GOP state convention in mid-April, The Post’s Bartels reported. Priola said he wanted to make sure he didn’t have a primary opponent. Although Priola supports the bill, he did not sign on as the House sponsor, a role Ferrandino accepted.
