BILLS UP MONDAY on our quick-look calendar.
IN THE WAKE OF THE DBJ’S DISCLOSURE OF BIG-BUCKS SPENDING BY PINNACOL, Senate Minority Leader Bill Cadman, R-Colorado Springs, focused on the contract given to the communications firm SE2 and asked if it went beyond being expensive and actually included a provision that is illegal. State law bans any person engaged in lobbying from entering into an agreement under which reward is to be paid contingent upon the passage or defeat of any legislation, the DBJ’s Ed Sealover reported. SE2 chairman Eric Sondermann pointed out that neither he nor anyone working on the Pinnacol contract is a registered lobbyist.
