Veteran political correspondent and author Adam Schrager is leaving the political beat at 9News to take a job with Wisconsin Public Television, the ColoradoPols.com blog is reporting.

According to ColoradoPols:

No word yet on who will replace Schrager for political reporting at the Denver market’s highest-rated television station, but we sincerely hope that a replacement is named who will focus on quality political coverage as Schrager has–and bring the depth of knowledge we’ve taken for granted in Schrager for some years.

Schrager, who recently interviewed President Barack Obama, has for years hosted 9News’s public affairs show “Your Show,” which ran on Channel 9 before moving to a sister station, My20.
