Early results have Republican challengers Keith Swerdfeger in Pueblo and Libby Szabo in the west suburbs beating their Dem opponents, meaning two early pickups for the GOP (six seats are needed for control.)

HD-38′s Joe Rice, another Democrat, is in the race of his life, and he trails 51-48 to Kathleen Conti.

In Denver, Rep. Daniel Kagan appears to be easily holding off a challenge from Christine Mastin. The closest Dem race is Jeanne Labuda, who is besting GOP challenger Danny Stroud 56-44.
