The Piton Foundation announced today that Lt. Gov. Barbara O’Brien has been awarded the first Piton Fellowship, a part-time position in which she will be “concentrating on advancing Colorado’s education reform agenda, from preschool through college,” starting next February, Education News Colorado reported today.

The foundation’s news release also said O’Brien “will be pursuing other professional opportunities.”
