It may have been symbolic, but Fort Lewis College allies in the Legislature have won a small victory against the governor’s office and an influential group of lawmakers, The Durango Herald reports.
Senators in charge of the state budget backed away Thursday from their plan to ban FLC – alone among Colorado colleges – from raising out-of-state tuition rates.
The victory is only symbolic because FLC leaders already have set next year’s budget, and it does not include an out-of-state tuition increase.
