HB10-1348: Uranium Mining Oversight Bill Goes To Colo. Senate

Colorado House lawmakers have agreed that increased oversight to ensure groundwater is not contaminated by uranium processing is a good thing for Colorado’s water supply, The Greeley Tribune reports.

Lawmakers approved House Bill 1348 — which would require uranium mines to submit an annual report to some well owners and submit an annual report about the adequacy of the mine’s financial resources — by a vote of 62-2. The bill will move to the Senate.
