Whistleblower Complaint Shines Light On Regulator’s Tiff With Her Bosses

State real estate division director Erin Toll believes she may be fired because she publicly disclosed that a mortgage company where a state senator works was the target of a state investigation, The Denver Post reports. In a whistle-blower complaint filed Thursday, Toll, who is on administrative leave from her job, said the investigation into Republican Sen. Ted Harvey’s employer was ended by Ritter administration officials over her objections. Barbara Kelley, executive director of the Department of Regulatory Agencies, or DORA, put Toll on leave against her will, Toll writes in the complaint, published below.
