STATE BILL COLORADO
Littleton businesswoman Kathleen Conti is the second Republican to file to run against Rep. Joe Rice, D-Littleton, in House District 38. Englewood Councilman Rick Gillit previously filed.
Conti is principal associate of SMM Foods, according to her campaign website.
Republicans are bidding to reclaim HD-38, which Rice has held since term limits forced Joe Stengel to step aside. State Bill Colorado considers the district “truly competitive” because no party has more than 40 percent of the registered voters. However, Republicans have a solid majority with 38 percent of voters registered GOP.
As a result of Conti’s candidacy, State Bill has updated its 2010 Election Tracker.
