Rep. Kathleen Curry Bumped Off House Appropriations

Rep. Kathleen Curry, who bolted from the Democratic party last year to become an unaffiliated lawmaker, served her last day on the House Appropriations Committee today, The Denver Post reports. The reshuffling was the latest fall from grace for Curry, who lost her position as speaker pro tem – the No. 2 position in the House – and as chairwoman of the House Agriculture Committee after she left the party in December following a series of disputes with Democratic leadership.
