Union Withdraws Endorsement of Cristanta Duran’s Campaign

The executive board of one of Colorado’s most powerful labor unions has withdrawn its endorsement of the union’s former attorney, who is running for the state House of Representatives, The Denver Post reports. The board of United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 rescinded the endorsement of Crisanta Duran during a meeting on Tuesday, according to a statement. Union spokesman Dave Minshall said he couldn’t comment on the specific reason for the decision, but in a letter sent to Duran and obtained by The Denver Post, new union President Kim Cordova wrote that Duran’s endorsement was made through “deceitful” means.
