GOP Springs Lawmakers Tout Importance Of Limited Government

About 50 people attended a town hall meeting Saturday morning at the Colorado Springs Senior Center on Hancock Avenue, KRDO reports. Rep. Larry Liston (running for a fourth term); Rep. Bob Gardner (third term) and Rep. Mark Waller (second term) listened to questions and concerns from an audience which expressed frustration about tax increases, budget cuts, the sluggish economy, the lack of jobs and how the majority-party Democrats have handled the situation. The audience seemed relieved that the lawmakers–despite being in the minority party–promised to uphold the traditional values of the GOP, such as less government, more individual freedom and supporting private jobs and industry.
