From The Denver Post: The state health department needs $186,000 more to process a prodigious backlog of medical-marijuana-card applications, officials told the legislature’s budget committee Wednesday. The approved allocation, slightly less than what the department asked for, comes from the $90 applicants pay each year and will allow the department to hire a dozen temporary employees to deal with a months-long backlog.
