Colorado Sen. Greg Brophy, R-Wray, sent out a Twitter message last night calling Kathleen Curry’s party switch “a big deal” and predicted the GOP would claim her House District 61 seat. But the GOP has no candidate currently — and neither do the Democrats.
As of today, Curry was the only candidate filed to run for the seat in 2010. Her paperwork, published below, will have to be re-filed to reflect her Independent status.
Brophy’s “tweet,” sent at about 8 p.m. Tuesday, read: “State Rep Kathleen Curry drops Dem affiliation goes Unaffiliated. Loses cmte chair; this is a big deal. Republicns win that seat now #redco”
