The governor’s daily schedule includes his presentation before the Joint Budget Committee as well an appearance at a ceremony in the West Foyer.

9 a.m. Gov. Ritter will take part in a ceremony honoring the Colorado nominees for the 2009 U.S. Secretary of Defense Employer Freedom Award, which recognizes outstanding employers of National Guard citizen-soldiers and military Reservists. Location: West Foyer, State Capitol.

11:30 a.m. Lt. Gov. O’Brien will speak on the importance of linking young children to needed services at a luncheon co-hosted by the Denver Foundation and the Colorado Trust. Location: Colorado Trust, 1600 Sherman St., Denver.

2:30 p.m. Gov. Ritter will present his Fiscal Year 2010-11 budget proposal to the legislature’s Joint Budget Committee. Location: Legislative Services Building, across 14th Street from the State Capitol. Media Note: Gov. Ritter will hold a media availability in his office immediately after the budget presentation.
