STATE BILL COLORADO
The highest leadership of the Colorado House and Senate is scheduled to meet at 2:30 p.m. for the first time since August.
The Executive Committee of the Legislative Council — which includes Senate President Brandon Shaffer, House Speaker Terrance Carroll and other majority and minority leaders — will convene in the Capitol’s House Committee Room 0112 to discuss the following four topics.
• A proposal from Rep. Joel Judd to allow the legislature’s Joint Finance Committee to meet before the session begins in January.
• Amendments to the guidelines of the Colorado Channel Authority. The newly created authority has the responsibility for broadcasts of the House and the Senate.
• Various legislative contracts.
• In a planned executive session, the executive committee will continue its discussions of Capitol Building security. It’s not known whether the discussion relates to the highly visible magnetometers at the Capitol entrances or some other aspect of Capitol Building security.
