STATE BILL COLORADO
Capitol workers this week took the wraps off the building’s new north elevator (the south elevator hasn’t yet been changed). The trim and lighting are nice, and a digital display replaces the previously lighted one. However, the length of the ride doesn’t appear to have measurably shortened.
The heavily trafficked elevators move among four floors at the Capitol: the basement, and floors 1 to 3.
The building’s two historic elevators are prone to breaking during the busy sessions of the General Assembly. A member of the Capitol complex staff wasn’t immediately available for comment.
