State Sen. Morgan Carroll says she won’t enter the race for Colorado Attorney General in 2010, leaving the race open for Dan Slater, attorney and vice chair of the Colorado Democratic Party, The Aurora Sentinel reports. Carroll said she would support Slater in a race against Republican incumbent John Suthers in 2010, citing his strength in the field of consumer advocacy issues.
Separately, Carroll on Wednesday backed Romanoff for the U.S. Senate. Last week, President Barack Obama sided with Bennet.
