Conservative Website ‘Face The State’ Restructuring

STATE BILL COLORADO
Colorado conservative news site FaceTheState.com says it’s taking a hiatus while it restructures.
The announcement continues a trend of downsizing by politically themed blogs and websites. The liberal website Colorado Independent cut more than half its staff, and Colorado Media Matters, a liberal media-criticism website, closed. The campaign-news website PolitickerCo.com, part of the New York Observer chain of properties, also went dark but maintains some automated feeds.
FaceTheState.com, edited by Brad Jones, never revealed the source of its funding. The company laid off two employees but says it’s keeping its office open and its radio network up.
FaceTheState.com is one of nearly two dozen media organizations that contribute content to Colorado Capitol Reporters, a content-sharing service operated by Denver-based media company Circuit Media LLC, which owns State Bill Colorado.
Today’s full announcement follows:

“FaceTheState.com is on break while we restructure; stay tuned to this space for more details in the month ahead. In the meantime, Face The State Radio will continue to air new content on its network of 8 stations around Colorado. FTS’s offices remain open; contact us at newstips@facethestate.com or 720-279-9870.”
